Racing Script version 4 is ready! (3 comments)

Added by Zamaroht about 1 year ago

What's new?

  • New Challenges system introduced.
  • /stats is now showing some racing info:

Challenges done -> X/X

Races played -> X

Races first -> X

Win percentage -> X

How does it work?

The new system is very user friendly, but we will give you a small tutorial.

A new checkpoint has been added at the Emerald Isle building, at the end of the strip in Las Venturas:

This checkpoint will bring up a menu, with the different types of challenge modes available:

When you select any of the modes, another sub-menu with challenges to choose from will come up. Once you have chosen a challenge to do, you will be able to check its statistics (showing the score required to beat it, the top 5 scores, the location, and other details).
Each of these challenge modes work in a different way. We will tell you in a few sentences what each mode is about:

Time Attack

  • These are similar to the Point-to-Point races which can be hosted. You start in some point with a vehicle, and you have to reach the other point as fast as possible. There will be a required time which you'll have to beat, and you can go even further by attempting to beat the top5 list!

Drifting Challenges

  • There are just 3 of these, one for each main city in San Andreas. Basically, what you have to do in these ones is to score as much drift points as you can in a single drift, or drift chain. Your drift is considered over if you don't score any drift point for 3 seconds, or reduce your speed to less than 32km/h for more than half a second.

Lap Counting

  • These are short tracks, in which you'll have to complete as many laps as possible in two minutes. Laps are not counted one by one, you can either score 5 laps, or score 5.8 laps. You just have to drive as much as possible in the given time.

Circuit Challenges

  • They are very similar to Time Attack challenges, but instead of being Point-to-Point races, they are circuit races. You also have the possibility to choose your car from 8 different cars (which should be enough for most players). The challenges inside this mode are the different circuits available in the multiplayer races, so you could also use this mode to practice your multiplayer circuit skills!
